I am not only thrilled about my children’s book series Danny the Dragon but the young lives I am touching through my East Coast Book Tour are the inspiration to me to keep on writing for the big smiles and inquisitive minds. I am truly honored to be meeting wonderful children, parents and faculty or staff at many of the schools, hospitals and libraries all through these areas I am visiting.
As an author I am always looking outward and life’s impressions present me a constant flow of ideas I can create with as an author and artist. Recently my eyes opened even more to new areas I had not been all that familiar with and it has touched my heart, my care and consideration for others is greater now than even before.
I have been able to inspire other young “possible” authors and illustrators by my sheer presence, reading the book and answering their many wonderful questions. As a result I have now offered to help some select children with their own hidden urge to write.
My recent treat was a visit one of two Montessori Schools in the United States for the deaf, Blossom Montessori School for the Deaf. The Executive Director has no children of her own yet started this amazing school from her own deep desire and care. This school is absolutely amazing and the kids are beautiful and SO in communication. This school is catering to deaf children as well as children of deaf parents, and changing the poor educational statistics of many deaf children to a well educated graduate ready to address the world as an adult. I am helping support the school at their Goddess in the Garden Fund Raiser with Channel 9 News and Danny the Dragon will be given out a gift. I am returning to the school to meet with the kids and read while a staff member does sign.

Nice to hear that your book tour went so well! Inspiring young children to read, write, and illustrate is one of the greatest benefits to this job.
